The formula, and why it is per mille
RPM is revenue per mille: earnings per 1,000 pageviews. AdSense defines Page RPM as estimated earnings divided by pageviews, multiplied by 1,000 Google AdSense Help2026-08. Run it forward and you get the calculator above:
earnings = pageviews ÷ 1,000 × RPM

Each row is the same arithmetic, not a benchmark: the RPM column is an input you choose, because published per-niche averages do not exist as a reliable table. For what the dated public series do show, see average RPM by niche.
Modeling a network switch honestly
The what-if dial is the only switch model this site offers. You set the hypothetical RPM, the calculator shows the delta. Thresholds in the eligibility strip come from each network's published pages: Mediavine's 50,000 sessions Mediavine2026-08 and Raptive's 25,000 pageviews Raptive2026-08among them. What no network publishes is what your site specifically would earn there, so this calculator will not pretend to know. One dial's guess is another dashboard's disappointment.
Sharing a calculation
The calculator keeps its state on the page, so screenshot the readout for reports, or note the two inputs: they reproduce the result exactly, since the output is pure arithmetic on the pair.
